Don't believe anything you hear about these old Revell kits. This went together very easily and the fit was just fine. Built almost entirely out of the box except for a few scratchbuilt items including: seat, bomb rack, exhaust pipes, antenna wire, and a wired engine. The research for this model was provided by the pilot, a gentleman I knew when I lived in Miami. I got all my information from his log books and photo collection. VMF-225. He went on to fly F4U-4s for VMF-312 during the Korean War and retired in the early 60s.
