Revell Bf 109G

by Kari Kuronen

I´ve been surfing your W-Site about some years. It has been very, repeat, very interesting. I´m also interested to 1/32 scale aeroplanes, especially WW II.

As I was a kid, there were lots of models in this scale, and I bought, begged and sometimes borrowed them, built them and played with them. (I was an ace with my Revell Me 109, because I was able to rise my landing gear!)

Now, I´ve found again in my early 50 years, modeling. I was lucky enough, to have contacts to IPMS-Finland, and through them I was treated by modelers who wanted to get rid off theirs old Revell 1/32 scale models. Well, now I own some lot of old Revells:

Spitfire
Seafire
Hurricane
Beaufighter, (two of them)
Me 109 G
Me 109 F
Me 110
Zero
P-40
Corsair, (two of them)
Hayabusa Oscar
Thunderbolt, (two of them, bubbletop and razorback)
Lightning P-38 (two of them)
Typhoon
Stuka.

These models are really treat for myself, and I´m not only enjoying studying the boxes, but whats in them.

But, I´m also starting to build these treats. My first one is the Me 109 G. Its was my first model in years and I tried to make it as authentic as possible with my skills.

I lenghtenend the fuselage, built the wheel wells, made the wheel bulbs top of the wings smaller, added some scratch detail in the cockpit, wing 20 mm guns...
