Revell
F4U-1A Corsair
by Bill Inglee |
| This
is a scratchbuilt interior for a 1/32nd scale F4U1-A Corsair. It borrows
concepts from the out-of-production Black Box resin set, the Verlinden
set and the Lone Star set, with a few ideas of my own thrown in. It also
has a revised radio panel to look a little more like the Fleet Air Arm
Corsair it will eventually go into. The PE items are Reheat generic cockpit
details and their levers and cranks kit. Buckles on the seat are also
from Reheat. The rest is Evergreen tubing, rod and sheet with a few pieces
of stretched sprue thrown in.
The R-2800 is from the Revell Germany kit with a selection of details added. These included an ignition harness and wiring, pushrod covers, a revised crankcase housing with bolts added, magnetos and various plumbing items. Materials used were a mixture of stretched sprue and Evergreen plastic. |
