1/24th Dinah vac kit by Fred Yarema Part 1
I am currently building two Dinahs as it is not all that much more work once the molds are made. I may have a few sets of Dinah moldings available at a future date if anyone is interested.
Here is my home-made vac-forming machine with some freshly formed Ki 46 III "Dinah" fuselages. The shop vac provides primary vacuum and removes the majority of the volume of air. The vacuum pump then takes over and draws the plastic down with 28 inches of vacuum (more than most comercial machines). With the large adapter plate on I can vac about 10" X 19", the limitation in size being the interior dimentions of my kitchen oven. I also made smaller adapter plates and frames so as not to waste so much plastic when making smaller parts. Part 2 Ron Dobrzelecki sent in some under way shots of Freds 1/24 Dina, some of the pieces are just taped on.
