Hello friends,

This is my A-10A. I wanted to do contest model of plane, which was hit by SAM in Gulf war. So I wanted to make the plane "under inspection", because I got information that the hit was big and fragments of the rocket hit tail and also damaged some parts of the plane. They replaced the left part of the horizontal and vertical stabilizator and leaved it in zinc chromate color for some time. Those decals are available from Cutting Edge and I will use them.

This is how it looks with installed frames for battery (on the nose) and for avionic boxes.

Right side of the plane with avionic compartment boxes and framing.

Underside view of the gun bay area with rear bulkhead and ammo drum (temporary installed for dry fitting).

Inside of the plane with installed rear bulkhead and smaller avionic box on the left side of the plane.

Covers for the gun bay area, they needs a little bit of "tweaking" yet.

Dry fitted ammo drum and horizontal bulkhead.

If you want to know something about Gulf war from modeler´s view, visit my pages. You can find there more pics from the building of this nice plane.
