Models by Dave Stein Part 1

This F/A-18 is mostly the old Revell kit with the Hasegawa cockpit, main landing gear, and horizontal tailplanes mixed in. The fuel tank is the F-15 style tank from the Rev-Mono retooled RF-4C cut down to size.

Decals are from Superscale. Also added are Model Technologies photo-etched cockpit set and boarding ladder. The pilot is Verlinden's Top Gun pilot with a different head and cut to fit on the ladder.

This is the Hasegawa F-16A converted to an F-16C using the Revell kits horizontal tail planes, ACESII ejection seat, lower part of the vertical tail, and centerline tank.

Among the scratchbuilt items are, the landing chute housing on the tail, the formation light fairings on the intake, and the open Hydrazine tank bay next to the open 20mm cannon bay. Extras include Model Technologies photo-etch and decals are mainly Superscale.

I have since redone the tail markings by removing the red flash, which actually belongs to "The Bats" 119th Sq. and painted on a large bird in the light sand color as is the current custom in F-16 squadrons.
