Kittyhawk 1/32 F-86D

One of my all-time favorites, Kittyhawk keeps hitting home runs on what I want!

The Dog Sabre is overall a really nice kit - a few problem areas fit-wise like the main wheel wells and tail assembly, but some test fitting and trimming fixed it all.

Built straight from the box (not sure if any AM is even available yet), painted with AK Interactive Xtreme Metals and kit decals. The F-86D was my father-in-law's first operational assignment with the 62nd FIS (or 63rd FIS) but I haven't found any decals for his squadron, so I went with the box top scheme. I see that Zotz just released a sheet right after I committed to this one though - rats!
