Special Hobby 1/32 Hawker Tempest

By John Bardwell

Although there were a few headaches building this model it really wasn't bad. Some of the headaches were my own doing but some, in my opinion, were due to crappy instructions. They are just not clear enough as to where and how some parts should be attached. Paints used were Xtracolor for the exterior and Model Master for the cockpit and wheel wells. I substituted some Xtradecals for the codes as the kit decals just looked too light, nearly white. Otherwise all the markings are from the kit. I also replaced the pitot tube and under-fuselage antenna with pieces from my spares box. Not a bad kit for the price.

There's a build thread for this model in the forums.
