Hasegawa 1/32nd Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki "Tojo"

By Michael Woodgate

I would like to present my latest model, a Hasegawa 1/32nd Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki "Tojo".

I built the model out of the box apart from cutting open the side cockpit door to better display the really beautiful kit cockpit and to add Quick Boost exhaust pipes, Eduard pre-painted photo etched JAAF seat belts, undercarriage position indicators to the wings and 2 foot step/ hand holds to the port side of the fuselage.

I used the kit decals and painted the model with Floquil bright silver and Alclad Duralumin for the darker panels.

I really enjoyed building the Tojo, it went together with no fuss and problems and looks great when finished.
