Major Hans "Assi" Hahn
The Man and His Machines with EC#50 through 53

I received information today that Major Hans "Assi" Hahn The Man and His Machines, a new book from Jerry Crandall, is to be released this week. Jerry, with the artistic talent of Tom Tullis, takes a closer look at the career and aircraft profiles of Major Hans "Assi" Hahn, a famous WW II Knight's Cross holder.

The hard cover book, 8 ½ X 11 is 166 pages in length and includes 16 pages of color. There are 175 photos of various aircraft with full color profiles and notes. The modeler /historian will also find full color profiles of aircraft flown by Siegfried Schnell, Walter Oesau, Josef Puchinger, Egon Meyer and Kurt Knappe.

Soon after the book release, Eagle Editions will release four new 1/32nd scale decal sheets of the profiles included in the book. Look for new schemes for the Bf 109 and Fw 190. I am sure that the book and decals will provide the modeler with a most comprehensive history on Hans "Assi" Hahn and his fellow pilots of JG 2.
