May 08 Montex Update
by Matt Gannon

May brings another boon of LSP gear from Montex.

First off this May is the release of a Limited Edition kit of the Hawker Fury MkII kit (RMA 3204). This kit offers all the goodies contained in the intial MkI Hawker Fury release ( review coming) but also the modified spatted wheels used in the MkII version. There are also another set of masks for aircraft from RAF Squadrons No 41 and 25.

Second this May is the release of some fantastic 1/24 Super Masks for the VFS 1/24 Thunderbolt. Super masks contain all you'll need from national insignias, canopy masks internal and external, squadron markings and nose art to spray on perfect markings. We have a number of LSP'ers who swear by Montex's masks. Dave Pratt has developed a few tips n tricks so feel free to drop into our forums, follow this link and check out how they can be used to good effect. The Super Mask sets for the 1/24 VFS Thunderbolt are listed as 24047, 24048 and 24049. I think this range is bound to keep the jugheads happy.

Lastly we have listed in the forums a couple of new resin kit releases from Montex in the 1/72 scale. Given Montex's predisposition to be making kits of the interwar years one wonders about the other fantastic Silver Wings aircraft that are possible in 1/32 scale.
