Soft cover, 8.5" x 11"
36 pages

Printed on high-quality gloss paper, this edition of Wings of the Black Cross marks the authoring debut of LSP associate editor Mark Proulx. Following the format of the preceding two issues, it contains a good selection of unpublished photographs of Luftwaffe aircraft along with a few previously published but little-known photographs complimented by the inclusion of eight colour profiles by aviation artist Tom Tullis.

As with the previous issues, the majority of the photographs centre on late-war aircraft but also included are views of the Blohm & Voss Bv 141, Blohm & Voss Bv 138 and Dornier Do 18. Perhaps more interesting to most is the inclusion of previously unpublished views of the Ju 87G of Hans-Ulrich Rudel and two views of an Fw 190 assigned to the III./KG(J) 27 wearing the large green/white checked band associated with the aircraft of that unit.

The majority of the photographs are well presented in a crisp, approximate 5"x 7" format and while the book contains no text, the author accompanies each photograph with an informative caption. This same being true for the two coloured photographs presented on the rear cover.

Available directly from Eagle Editions and reasonably priced at $US17.95, this book will make a worthwhile addition to the library of any Luftwaffe enthusiast.

With thanks to Eagle Editions for the review sample and congratulations to Mark Proulx on a job well done.
