To best describe them I shall quote the information given on the instruction sheet, which is very interesting. "During WWII, WW2, World War 2, World War II, the German aircraft industry used various metal sheet suppliers. Each of these suppliers was required to print its name/logo and metal grade on one side of the metal sheet. This printed side was usually placed on the inside of the parts produced with the sheet and hidden from sight. However, as the war went on, internal aircraft parts were not painted and these manufacturer stamps were often left exposed in places such as wheel wells, hatches, cowls and wing structures. Later in the war, when aircraft undersides were no longer painted (Me109K, Fw190C9), entire panels were seen bearing these stamps. " So there you have it. If you would like to add that certain touch of accuracy that sets a great model apart from a good model then these will certainly add a whole new scope to it. If you plan on opening up some panels and exposing some interior details, the panels will definitely benefit from the edition of some of these stamps.
Priced at a mere £3.00 this sheet is some incredible value when you consider the size of the sheet and the amount of decals on it. this should last a very long time, and a great many models. So if you are an avid Luftwaffe modeller,
accuracy buff, or generally pursuing excellence in your models, and
are looking for something that will add to that little bit extra that
will set your model apart from the rest of the 109's or 190's dotted
throughout the model show hall (unless of course they too have all
used these decals!) this sheet will come in very handy. © Jay Laverty 2006 |
