Dubbed by its supporters as a worthy rival to the stealthy F-22 Raptor, the Typhoon boasts of advanced avionics, replaceable computers and supercruise capability-without the high cost. Previously available only in 1/72, Trumpeter comes to the rescue of the large scale modeller.

Trumpeter will bring out both the single seater and the double seater in this large scale and we are fortunate to have the both in our review.

The fuselage appears to be finely riveted. Some flash was noticed, however this appears to be the result of the flash found in the test molds.

In dry fitting the fuselage, the model is about 20 inches long with a wingspan of around 14 inches.

All in all, the kit appears to be very promising and makes a worthy stable mate to the other big-scale modern jet kits available.
