Warbirds Productions ¶¶¶¶¶ Reviewed by Warbirds Productions is releasing a number of new 1/32nd scale items for the Revell Hurricane. In this review, we will examine their new Watts 2 Blade Propeller.
The Watts wooden propeller was a fixed pitch design fitted to early production Hurricanes. This is a very simple installation that dramatically changes the appearance of the finished model. The Revell Hurricane is a release that has been long overlooked by the aftermarket industry. I am confident that Warbirds Productions (Warbirds UK & Warbirds US) will address many shortcomings of the model in due course and an accurate kit will result. Review Sample Compliments of Warbirds

The
prop compares favorably to the sketches in Aero Detail and SAM Publications
on the Hawker Hurricane. Warbirds cast the prop in grey resin as a
single unit. Closer examination of the prop assembly reveals two minor
air bubbles just under the surface of one of the blades. This probably
can just be painted over, however this isn't beyond the capability
of most modelers to repair. The rear surface of the spinner requires
some sanding for a flush fit. Additionally, modelers will be required
to drill a hole in the rear surface to place the unit onto a prop
shaft.
