Warbirds Productions ¶¶¶¶¶ Reviewed by Warbirds Productions has just released a number of new 1/32nd scale resin update sets. In this review, we will have a closer examination of the Vokes Tropical Air Filter as fitted to the Hawker Hurricane. The new filter is a high quality casting as we have come to expect from Warbirds. The surface detail is scribed with recessed panel lines. It is designed to be a direct replacement for the item supplied in the kit. The only task for the modeler to perform is to remove a large resin casting block from the rear of the filter. .
I placed the new filter against the Revell fuselage and found it to be a perfect fit. I also compared the filter to the item supplied in the Revell kit. The Warbirds product is more scale like in appearance with a slightly smaller intake. Overall, I consider it an improvement to the item supplied in the box. No instructions are included and are not required due to the simplicity of the installation. Warbirds Productions (Warbirds UK & Warbirds US) is continuing to broaden their product line into new 1/32nd scale subjects. I am sure that this will be welcome news to many large scale modelers. I recommend this item without hesitation.
