Aires | Corsair F4U Wheel Wells

The Aires replacement wheel wells for the Trumpeter are very highly detailed. These are meant to be glued to the lower wing sections. The Trumpeter details to be removed from the upper wing section. The Trumpeter detail, though not too bad, is marred by injector pin marks and is very tedious task to clean up.
The Aires step goes one step further and replaces the incorrect small forward gear doors on the Trumpeter kit. The modeler can correct the opening on the wing section with some sheet plastic and your favorite filler using the corrected gear door as a template. In addition to the replacement main doors, resin, wire, and PE parts are included to enhance the main gear legs.
I see no reason why this set couldn't be used on the Trumpeter F4U-4 kit also. A small instruction sheet (all diagrams) is included in the set to help you along. Those of you familiar with Lone Star Models replacement wheel well set for the Revell Corsair will be blown away with the detail supplied on the Aires version !! I know I was! Another very nice item to add to your stash.
