Rolls-Royce Derwent

Photos By Max Otten

Photos were taken at the Engineering Department of the University of Twente (Enschede, The Netherlands), in 2015.

This is a Rolls-Royce Derwent jet engine, as (according to the plaque in Dutch, used in the Meteor VI, VII and VIII). It is standing (rather incongruously) in an open-access corridor at the University of Twente.

The first picture shows the factory identification plaque, the remainder the engine from various angles.
