Hasegawa 1/32 Bf 109G-6

By Heinz Puzicha

I got the Hasegawa kit one of the first days it was published here. I made it OOTB, the Barkhorn variant, except a different color scheme than the suggested one by Hasegawa - pictures of this plane (Aircam Aviation Series No. 42, printed in the '70s) show a mottled fuselage. For the cockpit I used the Eduard seatbelts. My kit suffers from some errors: I didn't filled the line of the top cowl. I removed the two "pips" below the cockpit of the port fuselage side. These are the mounts for an umbrella that was sometimes used in tropical environs. Barkhorn's plane had them.

Not a perfect model, but I enjoyed building it. Now I wait for the three big G's of Trumpeter.
