Revell 1/28 Fokker Triplane

By Dean Large

Revell 1/28 Triplane, done up in the Red Baron's colours. As the mould for this was 50 years old, every single part of the kit had to be modified or replaced, and about three times the number of kit parts were scratchbuilt, including the entire cockpit. The Spandaus were a mixture of PE and scratchbuilding, rigging wires were a mixture of steel wire and stretched sprue, and the kit prop was painted with oils to simulate laminated wood.

Paints were Tamiya acrylics, and the kit decals were used.
