Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Macchi MC.200 Saetta

By Mike Maben

Pacific Coast Model's first 1/32 release, the PCM Macchi Mc200 Saetta (lightning bolt), which I started about started about 13 years ago, shelved since then, now finally complete.

Construction consisted of lots of sanding which is typical of limited run kits. All the trailing edges needed thinning, and leading edges needed a fairly sharp angle formed.

The model was built out of the box except for the brass landing gear and resin wheels by Maurizio de Terlizzi, unfortunately no longer available.

Surface detail, contour and dimensions look very nice. Patience and elbow grease can result in a fine example of the Saetta.

For more pictures of the construction, please see my thread in the Work in Progress Forum.
