Trumpeter 1/32 F-8E Crusader

This is the Trumpeter 1/32 F-8E Crusader built to represent the jet flown by Cdr Dick Bellinger, CO of VF-162 "The Hunters" sailing on USS Oriskany when in October 1966 he downed the first MiG-21 for the navy.

Uprise decals were used for the correct markings. Black Box cockpit. AIRES exhaust & wheelbays. Reskit wheels & AIM 9 D.
