Wingnut Wings 1/32nd Albatros D.V

By Jarda Hajecek

Here is my Albatros D.V flown by Fritz Rumey of Jasta 5 in 1918. This was a step aside from my usual interest group of modern jets and helicopters. Amazing kit, great fit, and the instructions are great however, in some cases I found them a little out of sequence, at least to my liking.

Aftermarket Used: Turnbuckles 3d printed by Firma 49, and harnesses by HGW.

Paints by Vallejo, Ammo, and Tamiya. This was a really nice break from the usual 50 shades of grey on the modern jets. The colors may not be 100% accurate as I mixed it based on various sources but in reality, who knows what the exact shades were more than 100 years ago.

Weathering: Flory Models Wash, Ammo washes and oilbrushers, plus Sira Model dirt.

This kit helped me to overcome my panic fear of rigging, primarily because there are not that many on the Albatros.

Enjoy our hobby everyone!

Cheers from Prague, Czech Republic.
