MikroMir 1/32 Ohka Trainer
By Juha Marjaniemi
This is my 23rd build I have finished in my modelling. Here is the final pics of my Ohka trainee.
The kit is typical short-run: the fit is bad, some surface details are half-molded, and many more problems but what I can say? Would I build this type of kit again; yes I would.
Some scratch-building was needed due to defective parts, especially the air scoops, and other things as well.
The kit is aimed towards builders that have some experience in short-run kits and scratch-building. If so you will be fine. If expecting Tamiya fit I say forget it.
And yes, I felt that this aircraft needed a display stand as it does not work standalone as other model planes with landing gear, so I kept it simple.
But nevertheless, I had a real great time building this one and it was a joy to work with.
So, I hope you like it, my rendering of this aircraft.
And the build can be found in my thread in the Work in Progress forum here on LSP.
So enjoy!
