VENTURA DECALS V3275
NZ TAF P-51D Mustangs, 1950s Wellington, Canterbury and Otago Squadrons 1/32nd Scale

It is always nice to see smaller Air Forces represented in decal form for our Large Scale community. There was a lot of excitement when Tamiya released their new P-51D and I know for one instantly wanted to build an RNZAF bird. Well finally the wait is over! This new sheet covers 3 airframes of 3 different Territorial Squadrons. All aircraft are P-51D–25NT (Dallas built), so check your references to use the correct parts in the Tamiya kit etc. There are detailed photos and instructions included of each aircraft. The decals are beautifully printed and in perfect register. Ventura’s decals have come a long way from the very early ones. These are beautifully thin and with setting solutions will look painted on.

One thing I particularly like is that they have given you the option of using the 4TAF checks (with some simple trimming) that can be used on a TAF Harvard, details are included with photo in the sheet.

Conclusion

A beautifully done decal sheet that will make your Mustang stand out from the crowd, highly recommended. Thanks to Ventura for the review sample.

Decals can be purchased directly from Ventura Publications.
