My plastic revelation of the year, even longer truth be told, was the wonderful Polikarpov I-16 from ICM - a new manufacturer to me, so it really was a very pleasant surprise to see a kit of such high quality, the modelling world has obviously taken note, as the kit has been re-released by both Revell, and Hasegawa.

The only downside I have garnered from reading builds on-line, was the flimsy, wobbly undercarriage, thankfully Aerocraft Models have rectified this problem. Replacing three plastic kit parts with a one-piece brass representation, which will not only bring much needed strength and stability, with added simplicity.

Flawlessly cast and finely detailed, this set will ensure your model survives the slings and arrows that life brings.
