AMS Resin | FOD Covers for 1/32 Tamiya F-4 Phantom II AMS-32006

Reviewed by Randy Bumgardner

So, you want to build a large scale Phantom, but you don't want to deal with those Tamiya intakes... or Seamless Sucker intakes... or Cutting Edge intakes... or... Well, Harold Offield of AMS Resin has the perfect solution for you. AMS Resin offers a set of FOD covers for the 1/32 Tamiya Phantoms. They are a drop fit into the intakes - you can even leave the pour stub on. I'm not 100% sure, as I haven't hauled my Revell F-4E out of the stash, but these may work on the Revell Phantom as well.

The FOD covers are molded in grey resin with no flash on my samples. A little clean up might necessary to true up the front lip, but, other than that, paint them red and drop them in. Notice, however, that these parts are "handed". The words "LEFT" and "RIGHT" are stamped into the pour stubs to help get this sorted out.

Highly recommended.
