Spada Decals | Sd-1-24-p-51d: 1/24 P-51D Mustang (4th Fighter Group)

Spada Decals has released a new sheet of "Laser Line" decals for the P-51D in 1/24th scale. The decal set covers four separate 4th FG Mustangs, three D-20s and a single D-5.
The "Laser Line" series requires a bit more care than standard water slide decals as they have no carrier layer, careful trimming must be done and overall care in removal and placement is required as well. However this should not be seen as daunting, it is simply a different method and the instructions should be followed.
The set comes on two sheets and features the markings you'll need to use in conjunction with kit decals (national insignia and some stenciling) to portray the four separate P-51s. The sheet is nicely printed and in good register, it is also well researched and sources are quoted on the sheet itself. Since only port profiles are provided it is suggested that some digging be done to cross reference the particular Mustang you are marking.
Airfix, Bandai, or Trumpeter 1/24 Mustangs are available and the sheet should work fine on any of them. Remember that the kit decals are to be supplemented with this set, and nose bands, as well as theater markings and invasion stripes are not included.
