Williams Brothers 1/32 P-35

By Michał Jurczak

This is the vintage Williams Brothers kit; if you know old Special Hobby kits it's something like that (for pain enthusiasts), not to mention raised panel lines and lack of details. This is the only kit of this aircraft and the outline is relatively accurate.

I used Gunze SM II + C series metallics and AK polished aluminium (which you apply with your fingers). Modulation effects and a grinding tool were used for creating surface effects.

Cockpit framing did not fit well against the fuselage halves resulting in gaps. The lower flaps and air intakes also did not fit well. The cowling also needed the recesses re-worked for the gun barrels but the biggest problem was the canopy which totally does not match the fuselage. I built some of the old Hasegawa kits from the 70’s and they were much better.

Still, it turned out pretty well in the end; I hope you agree!
