This week sees the launch of our latest Group Build, entitled "Fallen Comrades". The GB is a tribute to all our members who have passed away in recent times. The eligible subject matter is completely open, as long as it qualifies as an LSP build. Please check it out, and join in if you can!

Welcome to the last update for 2011! May the modelling gods bless you in 2012. This update is exclusively devoted to "A Blast from the Past".
- First cab off the rank is Graham Marsh with his build of Heritage Aviation's 1/24 vacform Mosquito from 2007.
- Next up is Greg Ferguson's 1/24 Trumpeter Bf 109K-4 from 2006.
- Ian Robertson features next as we go back to 2005 and his Hasegawa 1/32 Bf 109G-6 natural metal “Mosquito-chaser”.
- Lastly we have Martin Morkowsky's build of the Revell 1/28 Fokker DVII, also from 2005.
And finally, a plea for new content in 2012! If you have any builds you'd like to share, or products you'd like to review, or a model show you'd like to report on (or any other modelling-related article or topic at all!), please send me an article and we'll publish it right here on LSP! - The Fw 190 is clearly a popular subject on LSP, as evidenced by how many of them we've featured on "A Blast from the Past" since its recent inception. Today continues that trend as we look back at Graf's 190A-5 "Special" by Ken Matras (year unknown).
- Another amazing scratch-build for this edition of "Thead of the Week", where we look at Vaughn McPhail's Lippish P-13a.

This update sees the introduction of another new initiative that I'm calling "Thread of the Week", for which I will pick a worthy build thread in our forums to highlight. Despite the title, this series will appear on an ad hoc basis, and the featured builds won't necessarily be current ones.
- And so, our inaugural "Thead of the Week" belongs to forum member Ripaman, with his astounding Hawker Hurricane 11c 1:24 build thread. You've gotta see it to believe it!
- LSP Ron features yet again with his Trumpeter 1/32 Fairey Swordfish Mk I.
- Two articles for "A Blast from the Past" today, and both are Tamiya A6M5 Zeros. The first is by Flip Hendrickx (year unknown), and the second is from Rick Cotton (2002). (Thanks go to John Crawforth for pointing out the missing images in these articles.)
